The advertising says the spark is divided over the split electrode and the shape of the electrode allows for a better flame head and hence a better burn..
I'm a convert to Iridiums as swear by them, anyone got some practical input from using Splitfires over a regular design plug ?

The only thing that has proven to work effectively on igntion upgrades is either 1)upgrading to a better coil that puts out more energy or 2)an ignition with multi-spark technology that extends the spark duration.
Besides, if you are thinking about using them in the NSR, I would highly advise against. Splitfire doesnt make a plug with a slightly recessed electrode like ours, and I would hate to see an NSR engine ruined because the plug ground tab broke off from vibration. _________________ Paul Herr
