I Have one on my GSXR1000 trackbike. It just allows me to keep the throttle nauled on the straights and sometimes allows me to change up exiting fast sweeping bends without undue movement from my upper body.
Not having one on an NSR it is hard for me to comment on the use on a two stroke but i'm sure some of the racers here Chester, Fontyy etc will give you more info.
Dependant on the type you get will depend on how hard it is to set up. They are rarely plug and play and a badly set up quick shifter could make you slower.
Used one on my race NC30 and it did make a difference on the 'throttle to the stop' straights.
Not much point in it if you aren't doing that kind of riding a lot though, and to be fair I don't know that they'd give you as much of an improvement on a two stroke as a four. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

got one fitted to one of my bikes and just couldnt gel with it eneded up just takeing it off again.if you can get used to one they say they're a good job but it just wasnt for me
The tranny has to be pretty slick to use one. Gixxers take well to them but my Aprilia RSV just didn't dig it. The tranny on my NSR is a bit more clunky than my RSV and I would never think about putting one on it.
