Now got 2x MC18 engines to strip. Does anyone have a tip for getting the awkward nut off each barrel near the power valve mechanism. Scared I will round the nut off with an open spanner and cannot get a socket on it.

Also, anyone got a cheap clutch holder spare?

I use a ring spanner. Will need to be a good one as cheap ones tend to have rather alot of meat around them that stop it getting in there.

The Snap-On and Facom ones work well.

Clutch tools can be got though Honda. I can't recall the part number off the top of my head though.

Or just buy a cheap one and grind it down

I find Halfords Expert are a reasonable compromise between quality and stupid money.

The reason the cheap one have a lot of meat though is because they're crap lol

If you want to be really posh Honda do infact do a tool which is like a wasted bar that does the job too. I think TYGA sell them.

I intend to compromise and get a second hand one for £4.55 off evilBay, with the inherent risk of it being knackered. Actiually, re-reading this I will get off to Halfords.
