Re-joining the ranks

Thu May 06, 2010 11:13 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Okay, so I have been NSR-less for a couple years.

Had my eye on a couple here and there, but I really wasn't looking for a bueaty queen. Wanted something for cheap, that I could turn into a track toy (have much more comfortable and far less comfortable options for the street, Andy would kill me if he knew what the were Smile, probably try to kick me off here, if I didn't hold the keys Wink ).

Anyways, I just sent funds away or an MC21 R model. Just what I wanted (well would have liked SP, but hey, can deal with that). It's a project bike and will require some work and stuff, but now that I know the service manual inside and out, think I can handle that part.

Hopefully the shipper will have it hear in week or so Smile

Cool. Did you buy the one in TX advertised as a GP project?

Ye, it's rough, but it has a good solid base... Figure would be doing away with the suspenion anyways, so not a big deal if they are R models. Dry clutch will be something I will be looking for (or a SE/SP engine depending on what I find when I tear into this one).

So Andy... any of those HRC parts in your closet needing a new home? Smile

Well done on the buy Charles, looking forward to seeing your project progressing in the members build section! If you keep NSR OE forks, I've got a nice HRC Top Yoke & Tripple for sale Wink
