i just bought myself an MC18 NSR250
but looking at model pictures i don't know what model it is
the sticker kit is like a version 1 in terra blue but the exhaust is a ver 2 with the stainless pipe before the muffler the the muffler hugs the rear fairing. its been dropped and made into a naked bike but the sticker kit outline can be seen under the new paintwork
i can't read the sticker on the frame on the left hand side all i can make out is MC18.
are there any other changes between the 2j and 5k models?
also its got a 140 rear tyre but i would assume thats just because a 140 is available by most brands and about $120 cheaper
and rego papers say its a 96 but thats just the complience date

Have a look see which model ignition it is running. PGMI its the 88 PGMII id the 89 MC18.

thanks, i just looked at the swingarm on the right side and it looks like the r5k type and it has a larger headlight than the pictures of the 88 model
just wonder why it has the old style faring on it. it is meant to be an 89 model. maybe it was one of the first 89 model??? oh well
the whole kit is being replaced anyway

can you post a picture it might make it easy to identify???
