ive recently set a forum up that focuses on Honda NSR250, im not trying to take anyone away from this forum, its just there as an alternative. Forum only so im not in any competition with any other part of your impressive site.
You come to this Forum, you have never (as far as I know) contribute, you advertise another Forum which does not even have a link to NSR-WORLD.COM, and don't even have the courtessy to contact any of the Site Administrators before posting.
Frankly, I find your post rather insulting. _________________ Andy.

i havent done nothing before to contribute because im just starting to get interested in these bikes again, i sold a mc21 sp last year and i wish i hadnt. im not selling anything and i do use this site, i checked forum rules before posting and it didnt say anything against it. again sorry and i realise now i should have emailed the moderator or site admin first.
Duno about anyone else but pesonally I'd say ********** to you.
It seems really off saying 'see my forum instead of this one', on this forum.
I know Andy takes a lot of personal pride in his site and puts the time in to equal that. Did it occur that this is pretty off ?
The users here are a decent crowd and the low-end forum user is kept off and frankly, not wanted. If you are after the slanging and flame war brigade or a small forum propped up by barely a handfull of users (mostly the moderators) then ask and I'll PM you the places to go to, full of losers...
Nothin' personal - I just speak as I find.

I personally think there's not much point in having more than two forums - this one and the email type one most of us susbscribe to aswell. Both types have their pros and cons. Beyond that, there aren't enough NSR owners worldwide to support any more forums, so what we'd end up doing is diluting the knowledge base we have on here.
Nice idea to set up a site, but really we would welcome your input to this one and will help with your bike as we do all NSR owners. Despite getting off on the wrong foot! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

i'll second that _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

MC21R - sold
MC21SP - sold
Sorry i may as well cose the forum down now then, it was set up for the use of everyone with a nsr. And please dont tell me to fuk off mate, i was only trying to do something good. Wish i hadnt bothered.
Thank you Dave, for being able to view the topic more from the outside.
Naturally my judgement is clouded by the fact that I spend on average, something like 40hrs a week working on the Site and Forums, so it's virtually like a second job! Maybe with that in mind you can appreciate just why I am protective of the Site's status?
Jon, I'm not going to ask you to excuse my bluntness, as I still personally think it was justified, but add to my reasons that of Dave's too. Jamie Wheeler has a forum on his site, which (with no disrespect to him as he has a superb website) is already established yet nowhere near as busy as us, and there is the NSR250 Mailing List in which several users of this Forum, myself included, went to great lengths to rehost to make it available to more (i.e. Hotmail and AOL) users. As Dave rightly says, to dilute the knowledgebase yet further would be defeating the whole point of the support we aim to provide.
Thank you for you PM however, and if you wish to stick around and contribute, then yes you are more than welcome. _________________ Andy.

we are on the whole a frendly bunch here jon. and i,m sure we could all benefit from you sticking around and joining this forum.
NSR-WORLD .COM covers all you could ever want to know about NSR250,s and the forum has a base of knowledge second to none.
andy puts a lot of time into this site, and i can understand where hes comming from.
I fully understand what you mean, i will close the forum down as there isnt any point in it existing, like i said i love these bikes and its rare in the uk to even get people know what a nsr250 is. i will stick around on this site, thanks for making me feel welcome and i do regret the way in which i went about advertising it on this forum.
No insult intended or meant, I just speak as I find. What I do like and find admirable is that the contributors to this particular thread are up front and direct, no bickering behind people's backs and stuff like that which is good.
Anyone who goes to the trouble of setting up a site for others to use and is prepared to manage and run it is worthy of respect. I myself have been preparing a site and forum for another make and model and it's hard work. Running it seems even harder and then you have the nice people in cyberspace who get their kicks from hacking and wrecking the work.
No tears before bedtime, cool. _________________ These aren't the droids you're looking for.
not sure about that clarkie:shock: slaps on the back that knock your fillings out, and big biker hand shakes more like. unless its NSR-BABE of course
glad your joining us jon
