How to use a Tyga Flywheel Puller

Sun Oct 17, 2010 7:08 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Guys, Might be a stupid question, but how do you use this thing?

It has three parts, the large outer bit, the smaller threaded inner bit and the smaller tubular bit for pulling the powervalves.

I get that the largest bit has a nice reverse thread that goes into the flywheel, I'm just not sure what to do with the other bits.

Any help would be appreciated.

you need to screw the smaller piece into the crank first , then you screw the big one. you will feel when the other parts tighten up that they are working . The big one tightens onto the flywheel , the inner part screws against that small part on the crank . The flywheel will pop off afterwards .

Hmmm,

The smallest bit is pretty much just a hollow cylinder with a reverse thread inside for attaching to the power valves and pulling them out.

The medium size bit is way bigger than the bolt I pulled out of the flywheel and can't actually screw into anything in that area.

The large bit has a reverse thread that fit in the right spot in the flywheel. That one I know I'm doing the right thing with, just not sure where to go from here.

I just checked the tyga site.

http://tyga-performance.com/site/product_info.php?products_id=1339&osCsid=6484eb82fa5371c2adfc9536a364485a

I only have 3 bits.

No wonder I couldn't work it out.

Now i have to figure out if I lost the 4th bit or it never came with it....

Bought is some time ago and Have moved house since.

so are you missing the small piece ?

maybe you can get a bolt and machine down the head so that it can fit .

Yep, that's the missing piece.

But I have a few ideas where it might be.
