Complete with ram air. The original lower fairing slides straight on with a small amount of shaving. _________________ My Bikes;

The MC18 F-III airbox should have 90° inlets that line up with the scoops in the sides for cold air feed. No need to have a gaping hole like that, unless it's for a round headlight or something? Even so, still a crime against HRC to hack into that fairing like that! _________________ Andy.

Looks like some repairs have been made. Left it a bit hairy though! You must be a hairdresser! I hate that chopped strand stuff.
Andy, he's got the scoops you talk of in the sides of the fairing. The dirty great hole must be for a headlight, maybe?
I've been doing a bit of fibreglassing to a pair of fairings I've got for the race bikes. I got some woven roving, much better.
Not that I like fibreglassing, or spray-painting. Still, it's done now!
Airbox and fairing fitted to my f3,all seems to line up Andy ? I will be making a copy of the rear tail unit to fit the 18 also with not one but 2 bloody great big gaping holes for ,yes your right,rear lights ? _________________ My Bikes;

?%^*&^(*&%# Why were the photos deleted? I have an MC18 track project in bits with large non-stock air box and two scoops and wanted to see if it was the same and how it went together. _________________ MC21R9N track

The photos of the first post are still there... though the hole in the upper fairing looks like it's made for endurance racing setup (single headlight) and not for use as an air scoop.
Actually, back in the day, there were similar nsr250 fairings in Japan for endurance purposes.
All in all, I like the idea... though I wouldn't use an HRC part as the basis for any of my wicked thoughts. _________________ 2t-racelab.com
Thanks Tracelab,exactly what I m trying to accomplish.In the era endurance styling.I ll cover the gaping great big hole ( I m using a Japanese spec VFR400 headlight ) later with clear perspex to get the profile back.Not the original HRC fairing but a copy we made up from my F3.
Here s the box and approximately the position when fitted.The carbs sit on top of the box and receive air from the side ducts in the fairing.
I ll post up a few more pics,if allowed, when I ve got it all together.Thanks for the interest. _________________ My Bikes;

That's the airbox i have! I have the two 90 degree scoops. I am excited about having the ablity to remove the carbs easily. Is this an HRC airbox? Thanks for pictures. I can better see how it goes together now. _________________ MC21R9N track

Not so sure about the gold,maybe a little too much.Thinking mat black for the calipers and rotors to split it up a bit.Both wheels are from a 21 ,17in. _________________ My Bikes;
