also ive read the 300 kit post below and fully understand i will be running full skirt pistons and modifying the cases but what machining do's the barel need to fit from standard 150sp also if i get two 150 barrels can / would matt from tyga machine them and at what cost _________________ "Batmans a scientist"
Check your exhaust bridges aren't cracked before you think about renikosiling. Tyga performance already have everything you need to 300 kit your bike - it's the path I chose due to cracked exhaust bridges.
ye iv seen there site but i found some good 150 sp barrels at a good price wondering if i can get them done or better off with new ones chhers ill check the bridges now
I had a quick look around for barrels but the only ones I found needed replating anyway or were new and cost ~$1,000 each. At that price you're better replating or going with the 300 kit. Hopefully others will come up with some idea.
Matt may machine them for you - you'd have to ask. Best to let him do the work as he's done enough of these to know what he's doing. The porting is changed too, so if you just whack on a 150 barrel don't expect it to go very well, supposedly the first of the 300's was slower than a 250.
Anyway, if you aren't planning on keeping it stock, I'd say go with the 300 kit, it's very nice and despite what people say, it revs out to 13k even with the ART pistons.
thanks i just checked mine an the barrels arnt to bad even though the front piston is f?+kt no cracks and only one minor chip in the plating maybe i could sell these to fund the 300kit _________________ "Batmans a scientist"
When my mc21 threw a big end and trashed the cylinder i got some of yahoo auctions the best way to do that would be to talk to Moriwaki-man .That would be the cheapest way .
the 18 heads are not the same as 21 heads .
You can have your 300 barrels machined at your local machine shop . All you need is the measurements .
You need barrels , heads , 150 base gaskets , head gaskets , tyga powervalve cables , tyga special hose for top head , tyga exhaust flanges . The standard 150 powervalve pulleys . Tyga pistons , I hope i have not forgotten anything .

Sean from The Tuning Works offers an international service (I believe Langdons does the plating) for around GBP120 a barrel, and another 40 if you need the bridge fixed too. Could be worth asking him if he'll handle NSR stuff too, it's definitely cheaper to ship them there and back than it is to get them done locally here in NZ.
