I thought I'd check the barrel's out today as I had the pipes off and when shining the torch up there I noticed that the front cylinder RC valve is half open whilst the rear cylinder is fully open (fully recessed). The strange thing is that both RC valve pulleys are lined up with the indicator on the pulley back plate...how do I adjust them so that they are both fully open with the pulleys lined up?
Also, how smoothly/freely should the RC valve pulleys operate? Should they take a little force to move or should they spin easy?
On my mc18: Without the cables attached to the pully on the servo motor, they snap open and closed really easily, with almost no resistance at all. (Made sure of this when last rebuilt the top end). With the valves connected to the pully, there is some resistance as you are moving the electrical motor in the servo. Can move it with one hand though.

You'll figure it out.
Remove cables from the pulley on the barrel.
Remove pulley.
You'll suss it by that stage.

With the pulley removed, the RC valves should be easy enough to move by hand using just the valve shaft. If not they'll need cleaning.
Once the illignment problem is solved and the valves are clean, adjust the cables as per Directions <<<Click
Both valves are lined up correctly now. Whilst I had the pulleys off I swiveled them and they move smoothly & free, the guy who had it before me did a top end rebuild about 500km's ago but I wasn't sure if the valves were cleaned, good job they are.
