a few questions on mc16

Tue May 24, 2011 12:46 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

hey guys, been a while sice ive been on here. some of you may remember me asking about a new loom for my mc16. well in the end i bit the bullet and ive rewired the entire loom and trust me that aint no fun. ha. so ive now finally got the bike running but with a few problems which i hope you lot can help me sort out. firstly my power valve seems to be dead and ive tried a direct feed from a battery and still it doesnt turn so im wondering how to manually keep the valves open? i think i read on here that setting them to half open would be best? and would i be doing any damage to the bike? and lastly can anyone give me some float measurements for the carbs and where do i measure from? hope you can help me and thanks in advance

regards peewit

Try a search for float AND height. There`s plenty of relevant returns!

Try the one about 10th down... 'Setting Float level'! Rolling Eyes

I would try and get the valves working you will never get full fun otherwise!
I had issues with my mc16 valves a while back, I brought a new servo and control box they still didn't work In the end I tracked it back to a bad battery not charging properly and not giving out full volts, if the battery's not fully charged the valves won't work
