I have just taken ownership of a 1988 NSR250R MC18 for a restoration project.
Having checked the engine number I discovered the engine is MC16E yet it has the same characteristics as the MC18 as per the information on this website, 4'' back wheel and 3''front wheel, TPS throttle position sensor, computer control exhaust system.
also it has the same wiring system to enable more HP . yet it is MC16E stamped on the engine. can someone explain this please??
No, only the frame (again, except HRC frames) will have the model number stamped on it, as the first four characters of the VIN number. _________________ Andy.
