Devils bridge

Mon Jul 01, 2013 9:56 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi, was at devils bridge in Kirkby Lonsdale on Sunday morning, first time in 23 years.
Was a good selection of 2 strokes, a couple of lc350s,kh400,lc125.
I took my recently acquired mc16 and was the only nsr there.
Do any of you guys get up to the bridge?
Bacon butties can be vouched for and you don't get ripped off either.
I know the weather here in the dales can be a bit wet at best but it was great to go back to what was our regular Sunday haunt back in the late 80s, early 90s.
If any of you are thinking of a ride up and fancy a natter and a coffee give me a shout.
Cheers, daz.

been a couple of times but not for the last 2 years, always seems to be full of caravans and police.

Being this side of the border and having wales on my doorstep i tend to go that way.
Wales has got alot better since brunstom has gone, far less pedantic policing but if you keep away from the A5 where the roads are better there is no traffic or police.

Amazed at how few police we saw last Thursday and Friday, to and from Anglesey.

We took the route off the M5 through Kidderminster, and up through Snowdonia... awesome roads, very little traffic, and as you say, no police.

Nice one, maybe I'll bump into one of you guys.
Weather was fantastic at weekend, so on Sunday did settle, ribble head, hawes, garsdale,
Sedburgh,devils,settle and home.
No police in site but a bit boring on my own.
Changed the gearbox oil on return home, I don't think the previous owner had changed it in years.
