This MC21SP was bought to us after a catastrophic crankshaft failure. The motor has been rebuilt and tuned to our NSR-WORLD SP spec, and the chassis given a general tidy up, with many of the fixings and fittings refinished.

Due to the nature of the rebuild, the motor was only gently run on the dyno, just for setup purposes.

New spec Tyga's Simon. We'll adjust the set up once the engine run in and see what they can produce.

Really great job Guys.
The bike is so original, it's begging for some tuned chambers in 'flat back' and some open 'Ally' cans!

We've done black Tyga pipes on other rebuilds and it works well. However the only new spec Tyga's we could get were stainless steel for this rebuild.

That looks nice, makes healthy power as well.

Out of interest what does a ss tune involve? Is it just porting or do you do work on the cases and heads as well?

SS spec is the same as SP but without the crank case work and some fine details.

This motor was built to SP spec and shoudl see 65-66hp once its run in and set up. When it was dyno it had done zero miles since its full rebuild so caution was taken with the jetting and the amount of full throttle runs it was given.

The MC21SP came back in today with a few miles under its belt for a service and final setup.

Maybe time for a 38T rear now...
