Mon Jan 27, 2014 6:56 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi all
i haver just purchased a nsr 250 r mc 21 the guy that owned it before me said the standard pgm failed so he had a hrc pgm 4 wired into the loom. everything works except the rev counter could this be beacause of the pgm? he could not tell me if the rev counter worked before so maybe a faulty rev counter? your veiws on the modification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Troy,

1st time I hear of someone wiring a PGM4 to a PGM3 system.

Are you running MC21 clocks ?

Cheers,
Mario

Yeah, why would you do that other than to get the smart card and make it slower?

Hi Troy
I had PGM3 issues with my MC21 and was reliably informed that a PGM4 is not the answer. You will find PGM3's on eBay for around $200AUD (that would be about 5 pounds at current exchange rates). I was looking for ages and suddenly a whole bunch turned up at once from Japan. Stuck one in and bike started second kick and everything worked as it should. If you have a bit of time to wait you'll get one guaranteed.
