I bought my NSR a few months ago, MC21 the chap i bought it from said it had 60HP not the standard 45hp, Andy has ridden my bike as says it feels like 60hp (he did this when previous owner had the crank rebuilt) I think it has the M max box but thats all i can see (is this all thats required), How can i tell ive never riden a 2 stroke let alone a 45hp model to compare, Im going to look at the weekend to see if the PGM/ Gear wire/splice has been done if not will this work with the m-max box ? any way enough wibble anybody guide me to the right place to confirm its been derestricted? many thanks
Take the seat off and you may be able to see the M-Max, I can't remember! Failing that, take the whole seat unit off, and you will definitely be able to see if the M-Max is still connected.
Does the motor rev out in top gear? If the ignition is still restricted, it definitely won't rev hard in the higher (4th, 5th, and 6th) gears. _________________ Andy.

yeah she revs out in top, im sure it did at cadwell, what about the wires andy, if the mbox is in and working can i still do the gear wire splice a,d the pgm splice, or dose the mbox do it all?
thanks, oh yeah i think it was under the seat well rembered, PS the engine is sweet as, good job on the rebuild!
if its the M-max box taht does the gearbox splice aswell, if you look it conects to the conector on the L/H/S of the bike. _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax
