had a quote for some brand new soft bridgestone wets £200 delivered, is this a good price
£200 will get me a damn good set of dry tyres, and really is a bit much for a set of tyres that i hope i will never have to use....

some advise boys please what do ya think

i've been trying for ages to find out weather i can run a 160 section wet tyre on my 29, followed your advise and spoke to mark who explained to me why you cant (its to do with the contact patch size and the rubber deforming and going egg shaped) and advised me that 160 is an ok dry tyre, but really should be a 150 and ONLY use a 150 wet.

I had the opportunity to run a 150 back to back to a 160. The 150 was a super-corsa DOT tire and the 160 was super-corsa slick (pirelli). Ran the 150 for a few laps, pulled into the pits, whipped off the 150 and on with the 160 (got to love the 28 rear end!). there seemed to be no difference. I believe I did raise the front to compensate for tire diameter difference. Now the 120 sized front.... don't do it!

Now Mr Vorreyer you ham fisted oik, you could run with no tyres and believe it ran ok!
