Silhouette Headlight cover

Wed Jan 19, 2011 2:10 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I am looking for a headlight cover for my MC21 SP to fit the Silhouette front fairing I have.
Preferably in yellow to match the Rothmans number board but I can get it painted If I need to.
Takada from Japan has the same fairing as me, Here is a link to a picture on Jamie's site.
I am located in New Zealand.
Does Silhouette still operate? I haven't been able to find much on the net about them at all. Still looking.

Thanks

So after a little more searching, as far as I can tell you can still buy their stuff.
They don't have a web site, and they don't speak English.
The more I think about it, I might just make a carbon one.

I bought it off trade me for $10. I didn't need a use for it at that price... This weekend sounds good. I could bring it to work tomorrow morning if that suits? I'm on dad duty otherwise this weekend.

That will not fit a stock upper fairing...you could make your own piece but you need to hold it in place and add some material do you can drill some taps for it and drill a pair of holes in your stock upper and than form the piece to fit. I believe SJ does not sell them separately, only in the kit form so you need to buy an entire upper fairing. They are still in business, I visited their shop 2 years ago and its so small and they had no bikes there and were working on some other non bike related stuff.

Jamie! Sup?

I do have the Silhouette upper fairing. Exactly the same as Taks.
I will make one from carbon fiber some time soon. It's only for when I go out to he racetrack or photographs. Here in New Zealand it is compulsory for motorcycles to have their headlight on all the time.
Love those pictures on your site of the dozen Rothmans bikes in a row.
