Hi all, does anyone know where the earth points are on a 28 please ?
noticed a slight oddity with the lights every now and again and suspect the switch or earth points are to blame.
Cheers
Just the one near the top coil mount point I believe, like all the other NSR's.
And you maybe right in thinking (like the V4 400's you know so well) it's a potential weak point. I'm old enough to remember the idea that you should run a few extra earth's on an NC30/35 and I did so on my first one, hopefuly this little diversion into 4t talk will be overlooked by Mr Grant as it's me _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
lol, cheers John.
yes that seems to be a weak point and often the source of all sorts of electrical oddities on the V4.
will take a gander tommorow and get intimate for the first time with the 28 and rip her clothes off and take a peek.
You'll probably find one on the rear subframe too. The other models each have one there, so I don't see why the MC28 would be any different.
Check the battery with the motor running. If the lights and/or indicators are doing "odd things", then it could be the reg/rec on the way out. It's the weakest point on all NSR's. _________________ Andy.

Cheers andy. Charge is stable and showing 14.1 @ 5k and the battery is healthy. Got a light flicker issue and the LCD is poor so will check all contacts and earths before condemning the LCD
Think the left hand switchgear is tired too. Prob doesn't help with big wattage bulbs
