VHM 250cc Cilinderheads not longer available......

Tue Mar 22, 2011 8:21 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

This weekend I had blown another headgasket on the dyno so I was looking for an alternative. The best option is VHM heads so I called to VHM but they said to me that were not producing them any more for lack of intrest. But they also said that if I buy three sets of heads the would pick up the production and make a serie of 5 sets of heads.

So my friend Mikestrike and myself want to buy a set of heads but we need a third person who wants a set of heads.

Is there anyone here who is intrested??

Why are you blowing head gaskets?

Sounds like the head or barrel or both have warped. We have had that in the past on some race motors...

Best to see if they are flat is to rub them on a flat surface with some sanding paper, you can use fine, something like 400, move the head/barrel in a figure 8 movement a couple of times while rotating the part 90 degrees each time you complete a figure 8 movement.

If the surface if flat then you will see sanding marks everywhere and if not the sanded parts will highlight the high spots indicating that its not flat anymore.
