i want to change the oil the previous owner was using on my bike,i was wondering if i need to purge the lines or if just emptying out the tank and refilling it is good enough?also does the pump need to be primed in any way after removing the oil lines to the carb?

There's an air bleed nut on the top of the oil pump think its shown on the workshop setion on setting up the oil pump .

i looked at that section but it only shows you the marks to line up to for setting the pump
