TYGA exhaust plating

Sun Jun 12, 2011 11:05 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Looking a the TYGA site today, I saw a couple of NSRs that had their chambers plated with a very pretty blue/purple coating. Does anybody know what this is called? They called it 'Spectrum', but I've been unable to find anywhere that offers this coating. Does anybody know the cost to get this done locally, and where?

I believe it's a titanium coating , think they were going to put the pipes into production if there was enough interest. Not heard any more about it though, bit like the rear sets that were rumoured for the mc18.

If you were a girl, I'd say "Hell yeah"
But I assume you're not so I'm going to stick with my original thought of "Gayer than a handbag full of rainbows!"

Yes, the rainbow comment did make me snigger. Though I still say it looks great on the blue TYGA bike, wouldn't look so good on mine though, I've decided. Tried photoshopping up an image and it didn't suit at all.

I think you would want to have a very specific look in mind for your bike. For a race replica (Rothmans, Pentax etc) hell no. Not even if you paid me.
