SP flashing up briefly on display

Thu Jun 30, 2011 7:05 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

No idea if it has always done this but dont think it has...

When I put my 010 card in SP really briefly showed up then it goes to normal display, I did not hear the powervales do anything either. It was an utter bastard to start and in the end we bumped it. When it was running it was fine and pulled and ran well. I left it for 15 minutes and it started OK. Not tried it again but it is still doing the SP thing.

This bike is a 2nd kick, starter usually.

I am thinking

a) It has been standing for 8 months and only ridden twice...knackered battery??

b) Something bad like the PGM knowing my luck

c) It is mightily pissed off at me as it was in a garage with 3 RGVs

Any ideas before I panic and go and buy loads of unnecessary parts?

I did wonder if I had just not noticed it Embarassed

Still it isnt starting well if at all so will have a butchers at the battery.

The RGVs aint mine, it was at a mates whilst I was away. I think it is punishing me for putting it amongst such inferior machines for 8 months.

On another note I rode it today for the first time in nearly a year. Had a hoot, forgot how easy it is to get around corners...even me who is slower than captain slow.

Ahem, should I hear PV on putting my card in? cant remember....

Not all the time, they don't cycle at power up, they just move to closed if needs be.

Cheers Fonty, put the card in and heard lots of click, click, clicks, pulled it out and put it in....same again. Done again then and all ok. Took it for a long run and will try again tomorrow morning to see if its cleared and normal. It ran fine once going.
