MC21/28 Dry Clutch and Gearbox Conversion Kit For Sale

Sun Oct 30, 2011 1:46 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I'm unhappily having to strip and sell off parts from my wet race bike to pay off debts from this years racing season.
So, this is the first thing for sale.
Complete kit to convert a wet clutch bike to the dry clutch set up.

Clutch with nearly new plates, inner basket and pressure plate and springs.
The two side covers, plastic mesh vented and ally case. Including water pump.
Complete gearbox and primary gears including gearbox oil pump and gear selector shaft.
Everything that's needed for the swap really.

There are some slight cosmetic scratches on the clutch basket from where I crashed and some gravel trap got scooped up in the fairing. It's purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the clutch operation in any way. Will get a pic' up later. When the plastic vented cover is on you won't see these scratches anyway.

I want £400 GB plus postage for the kit.

Thanks fo looking.

Hi Dave,

the parts are all Honda items.
The engine doesn't need removing from the frame to fit these parts.
If you are not that experienced with the spanners it might be better to trust installation to someone better suited.
The clutch and gearbox has been used five times by me. 12 races in total. Say, 200 miles max allowing for a crash and piston failures.
This set up won a few Derby Phoenix races, including an open 400 race against TZ's and RS's! Okay, it was in the wet, still won though!

Clutch

I know this was an old post, but I thought I would try anyway.

I need a clutch hub and basket fior my 1992 Honda NSR 250 SP. Do you by chance still have it available. If not do you know where I can find them??

Thanks for your time.

Sorry, I have now sold all of these parts.

I don't know of anyone else selling these bits at the moment.

You can get the part numbers from the online parts list.
If you can't get your local Honda dealer to order them for you, you could try Tyga or David Silver. CMSNL also, although they can be a bit pricey. They all ship internationally.
Other than that it's the various auction sites.
