RS shock with OEM body work?

Mon Jul 18, 2011 12:57 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Considering fitting an RS shock to my NSR. I want to retain the original bodywork so the TYGA tail is out. Are there any other options for fitment? I heard of another aluminium subframe that might be floating around that accomodates for this, but I have no details on it.

Couldn't the battery just be relocated and the box removed then?

There are after market rs125 shocks that have a remote reservoir instead of the piggy back type that the standard showa unit has, that would allow you to keep the standard under tray. I have a proflex shock like that on mine and i'm sure there must be other brands that use a similar set up.
