Howdy from Japan!

Howdy!

With some luck selling off some of my surplus supermoto bits, I hope to pick up an NSR 250 in the near future.

I currently ride an '08 Hypermotard but spend most of my weekends at the track with my '07 CRF450R supermoto. The most fun I've ever had on two wheels! I also endurance race a '91 ZXR250 with some friends. Also a lot of fun how fast you can go on a 250 that redlines over 18,000 rpms!

So what led me here? Well, the NSR 250 has been on my list of dream bikes to own. (A Ducati 996 was first and I've had a blast in the few years I've owned it). The goal is to find a nice MC28 and do some trackdays with it at hopefully Motegi and Fuji Speedway. Take off all the nice fairings and use some track plastics.

Of course anytime one plans on purchasing a bike, they should do their honework. Well here I am and because curiosity got the best of me, I just paid for the Ti membership so I can check out what's hopefully the real juicy info in some of these other sub-forums. So far the site has a wealth of knowledge!

Looking forward to picking your brains after I can take a peek behind some of these secret sub-forums!

Dana

Had you asked me in my first two years here, I would have swapped ya in a heartbeat. I'm now in my 11th year and I call it home (although technically home is really New York).

I sold all my bike stuff prior to moving here thinking how inexpensive it would be to get another bike, but boy was I wrong!

I still take a hit in the dollars to yen exchange rate but people are in some tough times so usually there's a deal to be had if you look around.

Hi Dana,

wellcome to the forum... You will find tons of information here... So you did the right thing to be a member of this community and subscribe as a Titanium member...

Supermoto is very cool... I used to race for many years here in Greece in the Greek Championship and it was really fun... Motegi is a really nice racetrack... Although i didn't know the existence of Fuji speedway... Have Fun Dana and hope you get a really sweet MC28...

Regards
Michael
