Hi all,so I am busy painting and cleaning,but some info I need from you guys,what is best ratio to run on premix fully synthethic castrol,what's best engine oil,and do you think after 38 000km I'm due for a fresh top end,don't want anything to go wrong as girlfriend is going to pilot the nsr while I drive my vfr nc30,can't wait,my chick finally wants to ride.how good is the cranks on these bikes,and pistons as that's always 2strokes death,and spares are quite scarce in south africa,if anyone can give names and numbers,would appreciate.I have a undying passion for 2strokes,as I believe most of you guys do

Hi mate,

30:1 for the premix. Any good fully synthetic oil will be fine, I use Rock Oil Synthesis2.

If it's not been refreshed in the past already, it would be due an overhaul. But if it runs ok....

Cranks are amazing so long as you use a decent oil, pistons the same. It's only when you start meddling that you use a lot of pistons, or if you are a generally poor mechanic like me
