I'm on the hunt for some new rubber, I've recently fitted Pirelli Diablos to the CBR250RR and they completely transformed the bike. Standard sizing for the CBR was only a 140 but I fitted a 150 no problems and it works great...
So my question, can I fit a 160 on the rear of MC18 R5K? Anyone here using a 160 or used one, clearance issues? (hard for me tell much as the last idiot that owned my bike put a 140 on it)
Also how the hell do you get your hand in to adjust the rear suspension? And what do you use, I've got a c spanner but I can't get in the space to get it on- can I use the old flat head screwdriver and rubber mallet technique?
Not sure if the 160 will fit in an 18, but I'm pretty sure it will spoil the delicate handling if you do manage to get it in there... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Yeah, going from a 150 to a 160 isn't going to improve handling, but it won't make that much of a difference. Though, what are you after? A fatter looking back tyre? Nobody is going to notice the difference between a 15cm skinny ass tyre and a 16cm skinny ass tyre!
Just be happy you don't have an NSR150 with an anorexic skinny ass rear tyre!
Putting a wider tyre can often reduce the roundness, making the tyre more square. Now that can't be good on corners.
