MC18 carb probs

Hi
can someone help me out here, i have my mc18 up for sale on here, but at the moment she has decided that she would rather dump the fuel after a short run, i have changed the needle valves and floats and still lno good, could this be warn seats where the needle valve seats Confused any views on this would help me out as i need to sell her but unable to with this problem.

Could be a blocked tank or carb breather hose.

My MC28 did the same thing and that was the culprit.

contaminants in the fuel/carb. take the carbs apart and give them a good blasting with carb cleaner, especially where the needle is.

Clean the float valve seats with some brasso on a cotton bud in a drill.don't go mad tho! Cool

Thanks guys for your info, have now since found out that crank seals etc were worn, ended up with a complete engine rebuild, conrods were good but middle bearing seal shot which was allowing fuel to pass etc, all done now just needs running in, sounds brilliant and purrs like a kitty cat!!! But sadly she still has to be sold....not happy but too many toys, someone will now have a ready to ride rebuilt and restored mc18 which i will not get the joy of riding Sad
