NSR Moment

Mon Mar 08, 2004 9:16 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Had an "NSR moment" this morning. Left house to catch train. Bike out of garage, flick the kickstarter - nothing. Ten more kicks (including playing with choke/throttle settings) - nothing. Lots of swearing as bike went out on Saturday for a blast with no issues at all - first time start ran well etc. Pushed bike up drive and onto street, quick bump locked up rear wheel but at least it made an induction roar first. Got off bike, one kick on the kickstarter - fired up as if to say "I've started first time, really!" Caught my train with a minute to spare but hot, bothered and sweaty! Where's that 4-stroke catalogue?

At least your NSR sometimes fires up first kick!
Often I am so knackered I need to return home for 5 mins sit down after bumping mine.
Fun,Fun,Fun..................?

Oh yeah...tell me about it. I remember when i first got my NSR, it took a steady 1 1/2 to start...constant kicking too. I was so damn exited to finally have one, I forgot that there was petcock valve...errrrrr Confused
so far it starts in the firs couple kicks...even after i detonated the front cylinder. Cool

What really irritates me is my friend's MC18 that I set up and that he can start BY HAND!!! Shocked

Yep... he'll leave it on the stand (or just sit on it) and crank the lever by hand - just to irritate me! Smile
