RSR Front Suspension/Brake Retrofit MC18

Thu Oct 13, 2011 11:56 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I recently (yesterday) acquired my first NSR250R 1988 MC18 SP that included a few spare parts including front forks and brembo brakes from an RSR 250. Is it a worthwhile exercise to upgrade the front forks and brakes to the RSR parts? I believe that the steering stem is larger on the RSR, and thus I would have to acquire bearings and seals for the RSR fork. Does anyone know of a source for these head bearings/seals or the Koyo part numbers? Also, can the existing front wheel and axle be used with the RSR fork or do I have to acquire a wider wheel? Thanks for your assistance.

Just use the centre shaft from your original triples and transfer them to your RSR clamps ,offset the diameter by using a bush welded.
