Great day, traded my NSR and gained so much respect for it at the same time...
Long story short, the original owner of the bike was selling his GSXR600 - a bike I was originally looking at buying that by coicidendence he bought after I bought his NSR. By another coincidence he was selling it at the same time I was selling the NSR as it's too big for him and he missed the NSR. So quickly a swap was arranged.
The GSXR600 I'm sure doesn't need any introductions, it's a fast bike! ... The NSR well it's only a 250 right?? We took them both out for a quick run to celebrate the trade an for him to re- unite with his old now very tidy NSR. In fairness he's a much better rider than me but the NSR left me and GSXR for dead, through the bends and the straights!! I felt so proud, watching the bike I've been working on daily for 2 months in the control of someone who knew how to ride it absolutely demolish a 600 hahaha even though I was the rider on the 600.
I sold the bike only because it took over my life too much with the constant work I put into it, but I don't regret it for a second. The bike when running right was awesome, bit like a hot girl can be great to ride but too much high maintenance some times
Big thanks to this site/ forum for all the info and a lot of the guys for your help on the way.
Shame it's gone, but I reckon you'll get another! Once bitten, you can't shake it.
NSR250's weren't only beating up 600's at Donington on Monday, but also thou's! Well ridden, you really can't appreciate how nible they are until you get duffed up by one!
I remember trying to chase an MC18 with Eric Gorr barrels and pinned RC Valves (PGM-II dead!) on a short track in Florida years ago, on a track-prepared Fireblade, and I couldn't get anywhere near it! _________________ Andy.

NSR250's beating "super-bikes" lol after today and what I saw of the little RS125's I don't doubt it ... Would love to see an NSR500 *drool* if I could buy one that's what I would be saving for.
My next one will be a mint condition MC21 SP only brought out to play on special occasions, the search is already on
had a play today, the new/ old owner asked if I could tune it for him. I think I was happier than him, Im amazed I missed working on the bike - just like old times nothing went as it should, but when it fired up first kick at the end and ran like it had just been stung on the ass - damn I love that bike!
