i've just bought a nsr mc 21 frame and swingarm to give a new life to my yamaha 500 rdlc or rzv engine.
can anyone tell me what is the maximum size of rear wheel / tire that can be fitted in the nsr swingarm ?
My research suggests a 5 inch rim, takes significant machining to align rear sprocket to front. Consider a wheel off an rs250 or for cheapness a cbr600 (I think an f3 model?).
You would want to change the front rim too or you will 'over tyre' the bike. I won't go into what it means it'll start an argument about geometry again.
I'm new to the nsr's so my response is really based on heresay and knowledge of 400's.
i thought i had read that before stephen, but i wasnt sure if i was imagining it ive been trying to find a 5 spoke marchesini in the correct size,to match my front, but with not much luck _________________ ive seen more tarts than mr kipling
