mc21/18 hybrid

hi all - iv got a 21 that runs an 18 bottom end which went together fine except for the gear selection moniter on 21 loom does not fit into the 18's crankcases which only has an neutral indicator wire connector .would this affect the running ?

looked through past postings and andy says tie gps [gear position sensor ]up out way and turn to position 3- how do i find position 3 ?

Look at the wiring diagram... find the colour for 3rd, and put a meter on it! Wink

Although if you've done the orange/blue wire splice (which you'd better have unless you want to be out-dragged by 16y/o's on scooters) the GPS does nothing.

just had look at wire splice -it dont look good and its got a deresriction box which came with it ,that when i remove it -it wont start !
