i am running standard pipes with swarbrick end cans and when i ride (i tend to do the racer tip toe on pegs style ) my heel touches the skinny part of the pipe.
i really like the look of the usupported can thing but am concerened they wont be strong enough, what do you guys think
also will the vibrations damage the cans, do any of you boys run unsupported carbon cans
when i say unsupported i mean the straps that go round the can _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

so you recon the chambers can take it then
my concern was more the vibrations wrecking the cans..... _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

I run titanium cans unsupported on my 28 on tyga pipes no probs as they are very light.I jonson carbon on the 21 supported as I do worry about the weight _________________ NSR MC28 SE(CASTROL)(sold)
if my mate every gets round to doing them he is going to make me some hanging brackets for my 21 with tyga pipes in stainless hoping to have them for the dyno day so if people are interested then he may be able to make up a batch of 10 or so was planning to see if andy was intereasted in selling them through the site _________________ Half the strokes, twice the fun
Dave S's cans are great - running them unsupported is ok but after a lot of miles or a good few years use, the rivets (if used on yours) can on occasion, work loose.
I've just had to shorten a set of carbon Swarbrick cans and redraw the rivets as they did just that.
Otherwise - cool. _________________ These aren't the droids you're looking for.
My Tygas are fine but I have had a set of Gibson silencers that were unsupported, crack at the weld... _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...

I decided to check all the alloy and carbon cans I have - it seems that bikes withvibey engines will kill cans, the YPVS350 seems to have started to destroy a few alloy cans - great _________________ These aren't the droids you're looking for.
