Hi , how do the people rate a dynojet dyno ? I know every dyno gives a different reading but am i correct to say that 1 dynojet dyno will give a very good comparison to another dynojet dyno elsewhere ? I have read some other info where guys say you add or subtract x% to compare a dynojet to something else . What is correct ?
Thanks for the info but i am really interested in the comparisons between dynojet and others . Is it safe to say that all dynojets are the same ?
Would you post your graph up ?
Look for 250cc street and race bike results section (and the 125 2T's).
But these guys appear to be claiming that all dynojet dyno results are > actual rwhp.
I don't know enough about dyno work to comment, but interesting looking at all the results anyway. _________________ Rich

I dyno should be used for back to back comparison or setting up with the baike under load. The values you get out should be taken with a pinch of salt. Never try to compare two dynos, or even the same dyno on 2 different days.
That is merely your engine NOT the dyno. Cold case figures(usualy one of the first 3 runs) are normaly the highest number.
A dyno is very useful tool, if you run gearing that approximates the time between gear changes you get accurate EGT readings.
A hell of a lot can influence the reading, tyre type and pressure, etc etc. The reading isn't a reading at the wheel it is a reading at the drum
