I was looking through the parts manual and there are lot's of differences between R2k and R5k models but R6k not even listed. I have the SP motor for my bike but not sure about parts fitment, for example the RC valve is rusted and I was wondering if its same as R5k? Looks same to my untrained eye.
The online parts manual is an excellent resource but does not have coverage of all the mc18 stuff. I have just bought a copy of the parts book (11KV3GJ9) though.
It shows R5K and R6K as having same part number heads and cylinders, powervalves not listed seperately so will be the same. R2J and R4J part numbers are different.
I am just finishing off an R6k.
This is just stating the obvious really, but here goes anyway.
I have just pretty much ASSUMED that the only differences are:
1) The rims. I did discover that the bolts used to hold the front brake rotors differ.
2) The front fork internals and top screw and stanchion. (or to put it another way; only the fork legs are common to both R5k and R6k)
3) The rear shock.
4) The bits associated with the dry clutch.
5) The fairing livery.
Maybe this list is a bit vague,(especially 4) but I am not aware of any other differences.
Remember what they say about making assumptions!
If anyone knows of any other differences please let us all know.

Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
and just for completeness:
George Bernard Shaw's quote: Britain and America are "two nations divided by a common language"
or something to that effect. _________________ [color=#808080][size=9]Yes,.. I too know how to waste Time and Money,...
Seen the movie, been a while, totally missed a quote. As for Shaw, I think he was the closest to the modern version of the quote but it was never recorded in any of his work. There were others who said similar quotes that were on record, however not as close to the modern saying, so I suppose scholars can argue for another 50 years and not come up with one person whom this will be solely credited to.
