I've got an MC21 that I've owned for about 5 years, but never ridden. I bought it from a mate who only used it for Ride days untill he dropped his roadbike and the fear set in and he sold everything!
I got the top end rebuilt about 4 years ago, and had all the servicing done then aswell. I've recenty put new brake pads front and rear and yesterday bought some new tyres for it, I wanna get back into the ride days ASAP. (the off-road bike has eaten all my free time over the last 3 or 4 years)
What should I do to the bike before I get to the Track?
I'm thinking brake fluids & gearbox oil??
Will the 2t oil in the reservoir still be ok? Should I even be using the 2t oil reservoir, or should I premix my fuel?
welcome back, I'm doing a track day on March 3@ Broadford, there will be a few strokers up there too
The basic road worthy checks (minus lights and indicators and mirrors) are what's checked. Definitely do a fluid flush if it's been 4 years, all my 2T bikes run the oil pump so don't change that.
You Need to buy the powervalve tool from Tyga , it makes the job simple . Loosen the pulley and see how easy it is to rotate the shaft . If it is stiff , service it . If it is free then you are safe
