mc28 gearbox oil

Hi, What grade of oil do i put in my gearbox and how do i gauge the level or should i just drain the old oil and start with fresh oil?

0.7L on drain, 0.8L on rebuild.

I've always used Rock Oil light gear oil.

Oil level should just touch the bottom of the dip stick

I have just looked at the filler cap and the dipstick looks a bit stubby as if it has been broken off, its only about 12 mm long

Castrol R40 for dry clutches,
Motul Transoil for both wet/dry clutch.

The stubby dipstick sounds fine as long as you have a dry clutch.

Its the same stubby dipstick on wet and dry clutches. It does look like it's broken though.
