Fitting SE rear shock to R

Sat Mar 31, 2012 12:32 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hello folks, I bought an SE shock for Noodle and will be fitting it very soon once the motor is complete. One problem is that I don't have the mounting hardware for the shock reservoir.
I don't have an SE/SP that I can crib from.
Any suggestions please.

Mike

You could try a piece of ally L angle , it is easy to work with and you can mount it to the rhs frame spare . Then drill some holes in it to mount the reservoir .

I'd just order the correct bracket from Honda. They fit all the frames R, SE and SP and will allow you to place the res' properly.

Thanks for the replies.

Stephen, will Honda (Fowlers etc) still be able to supply the brackets or someone like David Silver?

Any Honda dealer, we've ordered a number of them over the years for R conversions.

Mike, the bracket you want, is part no; 52411-kv3-840, £17.60p, special order from David silver. Sometimes special order bits arrive in about a week sometimes a bit longer.

Thanks again folks.

Thanks for the part number Les, I'll order one today. Bit of a way off finishing yet. Just fitting the dry clutch assembly. Sadly it's not in as good nick as the current wet clutch assembly.

I'm using my YPVS at the moment in this good weather. I think it's standard but 'boy' does it go well...Sadly...it doesn't Stop the same Shocked
