Fuel line sizes

Thu Apr 21, 2005 9:47 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I wanted to fit an in-line QD fitting to the fuel line on the 28 to help with removing the tank 10 times a week!
However, the largest one i got is a smaller diameter than the humungous fuel feed line. Any problems foreseen in replacing this line with thinner pipe?
Why is it so beefy?

No problems as far as I can see, in replacing the pipe with thinner walled stuff.

QR fuel pipe couplings are something I am trying to source cheap enough to add to the Performance section of the Marketplace!

Do you mean thinner walled or thinner diameter? Thinner diameter will obviously pass less fuel.

When I fitted mine, I used a cup of boiling water to soften the pipes enough to fit the connectors.
