Looks like I have a leaky crank seal so might as well get it done before the engine blows up, also noticed the water pump was weeping... being in US we can't get any of the parts from the local Honda shop, already checked the Marketplace, nothing but top end gaskets and water pump gasket, same for Tyga, don't really want to do any business with that EvilPlace that shall not be named. Any Suggestions?
I was thinking if I have the cases split up to change seals might as well vaporblast them. Also probably good idea to pull the powervalves so I will need the seals and clips. One of the shafts is buggered so will need that too, and the part to which cable attached, and washers, nut... parts list getting long.
It's just all too much to list really, and keep on top of, as some of the prices seem to change very quickly. I hate putting something up and then having to say, "sorry, the price has gone up since it was listed". Once upon a time I used to cover the many of the differences, but these days there's little margin and big expense.
Got a fair bit in stock though. Many of the power valve parts, for example. Some crank seals and clutch cover gaskets etc. too.
The NSR250 prices are going up regularly though, and that's not scare tactics... despite what some on here will probably accuse me of! The list of available parts is rapidly decreasing too. _________________ Andy.

I realize as parts get scarce prices will go up, supply and demand.
I made a parts list, gonna take another look at it, might just double it since I have another R5K and it will need to be re-sealed some day.
Might hold off till I get the motor apart, see what I will actually need. How long you think it might take for the parts to get to US? Approximately, Days, Weeks, Month?
It all varies, I'm afraid. Some stuff I have in stock, some stuff comes from the UK, so can be with me in 1~2 days, parts held at Honda Erope usually take 3~5 days to get to me, and Japan is about 7~10 days to me... usually! Parts on the system that state they are at Honda Japan do not always materialise, and it can sometimes take them a couple weeks to eventually come back and say they are discontinued. Conversely, it can also be 3~4 weeks and then suddenly parts turn up at the door when you've all but given up hope!
Shipping time from the UK to the USA (and anywhere else outside Europe) is usually around 4~5 days. Again, liike Honda's "expected" delivery times, this is Royal Mail's "target delivery time", and not always particularly accurate. It also depends on your local postal service. Australia can be 4~10 days, and I've even had parts to France take over 2 weeks to arrive!
However, it's not always the postal system that causes issues. I have a set of brake lines (apparently) on the way back to me from Slovakia at the moment, as they were "undeliverable". Luckily not only did I send them (as I send everything now) "signed-for", so there's a paper trail, but I also took a photo of the parcel/address, which the recipient confirmed was labelled correctly. (Some address formats around the world are significantly different to the UK and US formats.) In fact, the package even has his mobile number on, but still wasn't delivered!
The long and the short of it is, I can't guarantee anything... unless I have it in stock and deliver it by hand! _________________ Andy.

Yeah, international shipping can be a nightmare, I bought a Colnago frame on that evilPlace once, twice it was sent and returned undeliverable, both me and seller were tracking it both times to US and back, while USPS could not find it or tell me why it went back. Eventually I have up and took full refund.
I can wait, just thinking how much lead time I need and it will decide when I tear it apaprt
This is why I need the powervalve parts, it seems some ShadyTree (tm) repair service could not cope with left hand thread
Just took a stroll through the market place making a wish list and it quickly got up to 500 quid, will take the engine apart and order what I need then or I may end up with lots of unused parts
