Where to buy NSR rear cylinder head?

Tue Aug 07, 2012 3:15 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Looking to do the "hrc" cylinder head conversion. Can find the all the parts needed (here btw) except the cylinder head. Where do you buy the actual head?

Thanks
Scott

We can do the head new, but they aren't cheap any more! £181+P&P.

Both SP and R heads are still showing stock in Europe. Delivery (to me) approx 3 days.

And very appreciated you're checking in the marketplace and on the forum... we've got a long-term member and moderator on another site telling people to shop everywhere but NSR-WORLD at the moment! There's loyalty for you! Rolling Eyes

I've said it before, and no doubt will again. I know the marketplace isn't the cheapest place on the planet, but I do try to get the best deals I can, and I pass on those deals. (HEL Performance brake lines are a great example of that. You WILL NOT buy HEL products cheaper anywhere else, full stop!) Charles, Steve and I aren't getting rich off this site, and all your support really helps and also means a lot.

I don't appreciated public posts recommending other sites and sellers without so much of a mention of NSR-WORLD either. None of these sellers are prepared to offer NSR-WORLD a discount in return for advertising. In the past I've asked nothing more than a discount for Ti members, and they aren't even prepared to do that, yet people will push them blindly without any consideration for what Charles and I put into this site!

I'll remember that next time I give stuff away! There are a number of people out there stopping with free HEL brake lines!

It's a good job it's not a business... Charles and I would both be in homeless refuges if it were! Laughing

The marketplace is really "a shop of convenience". Somewhere I can put many of the things NSR owners may want to buy, so they can buy it all from one place. Honda have just given us a little discount (last week), but now hammer me with postage, but I get a good discount from HEL and from EBC, hence why the prices are as good or better here than they are anywhere else. Ti members get a set of EBC front sintered brake pads for £50 delivered. As good as going to EBC direct!

But as my reply to Scott says, I can get, or will try and get, stuff not in the marketplace if asked, and I'll try and do the best price I can. If it's just (what I consider) too expensive, then I will readily give other options or suggestions.

Strangely, rear heads are something Steve and I are working on. There was a post recently about machining them, and how it's not really cost-effective for a commercial machine shop to set up, but maybe something we will be able to offer "in-house" soon.

Andy is a truly terrible business man then!

Besides, we're friends here, not enemies...

(And I think you'll find that the Brits, Americans, French, Poles, Aussies etc were pretty good friends during the Second World War. Wink )
