R5K needle markings

Fri Sep 07, 2012 5:46 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

According to workshop section R5K needle markings should be BPG and BPH but I have BPK and BPJ?

Also probably a dumb question that has been answered 100 times: which is #1 cylinder, and what is recommended float height?
I'm sure I can find the answer if I look again, but it's past 1 am and I'm pretty tired.

Left hand cylinder is number one.

Float hight is 13mm.

I've seen a few R5K's with different needles, not all of them listed in the parts manual. The R6K also ran different needles to the R5K some of which seem to of been switched.

Thanks! I thought they might count cylinders from the flywheel, same as on cars, but wasn't sure.

still the question is which needle goes in to #1 BPK or BPJ?
