I currently run ludicrously expensive FCM pads (as they were given to me to try) and they are fantastic! I've run them with standard discs and with cast iron HRC discs. Previously I would always only use Brembo (on NSR discs), but I am unable to get a deal on them for the Marketplace.
Pads are very subjective. Some swear by EBC, yet others won't touch them with a barge pole... just like I wouldn't pi$$ on a pair of Bridgestones if they were on fire; others love them!
You'll go a long way to beat Honda pads though, as Steve says. I can do stock Honda and HRC via the Marketplace. _________________ Andy.

Hard to say, when I've only used Brembo or FCM since the second set in my MBX125 26 years ago!
I guess I'd probably go with HRC pads with my HRC cast iron discs, but that doesn't necessarily help those with standard stainless NSR discs!
HRC pads are going to be around £75 a set [of 4]. Standard are about £50 a set, similar to EBC HH's. EBC claims a good match to OEM discs, and I know plenty of people who use them, but as greggo has already stated, opinions vary. As I've said "feel" is subjective, and the best change I ever made was fitting a CBR1000RR radial master cylinder. The feedback from the lever increased immensely, even for my pathetic level of ability!
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Brembo's are about £85 a set, and FCM's are in excess of £140 a set from Japan... if you can find them. _________________ Andy.

Cheers chaps. Will put an order in for OEM pads I think, to give those a try. I have a GSXR750 radial M/C sitting around I might fling on there for a try too.
Although I have the stock set up providing a shed load of power currently...just no feel.
cheers Andy and folks, I know its subjective but opinions are taken on board. My winter tinker is brakes as the motor got done last winter, i have a cbr1000 master cylinder and i think i will go down either the ebc hh or standard pad route for my standard disks.
