Wont rev past 8 thou

Hi all took my mc16 out for the first time today runs great till you hit 8 thou and then seems to stutter and wont go past it seems to rev up ok when its in neautral anyone got any ideas thanks in advance regards keith

'Powervalves' not setup right mate. Does the pulley move when revved?

Check your battery, replace it with a fresh one, if available. NSRs dont like flat batteries at all.

Thats correct. I once forgot to connect the rectifier and my max. RPMs kept dropping as the battery discharged.

hi there the batterys brand new as I said I thought it would be carbs but going by the advice ive been given I think it could p/valves need adjusting
