No history that comprehensive, that I know of.

Much of the NF5 is interchangeable, just like the NSR, and a lot of the NX5 stuff is too, but virtually nothing is interchangeable between RS models. The NXA is different again, although I believe some NX5 and NXA parts play together OK. Abouth the only things you can swap between the NF5 and the NX5 with ease are the front forks and wheel!

I don' think you are going to find anywhere online that has it all laid out like NSR-WORLD though.

Which model/year are you considering?

The only place i have seen with any info is, ' Japanese Production Racing Motorcycles' by Mick Walker, but it only gives a basic evolution from 84-02, just a basic run down of the changes and updates over the years, that said it is an excellent read, although iam a bit biased cause it has a few piccies of my nipper in it when he was riding for Mick Walker racing.

Looking at a 2002 model looks like there were no changes from 2002 thru 2009 any thoughts on that?

Im not 100% sure, somebody will be along to correct me, but i think about 02 -04 or therabouts was about the last few of the line, so any after that would have been old stock. I personally havn't seen one newer than 02, but i wouldn't have thought any thing changed from 02 onwards.

2001 introduced the new series (NXA) with only minor changes between 01 and 02. Everything after 02 was unchanged.

There are some parts that are used on both NX5 and NXA, but it's not that many.

A small change, but the later NXAs had the 10 spoke Marchesini's rather than the traditional Honda 6 spokes.

There is some decent info on all the RS models at http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~h-oka/home/rs/rs_etc.htm

You will need to use google translate or similar, to read in english. (But don't expect a perfect translation!)

Some interesting pics, and it does include some details of changes between each model class, and between year to year of the same model class.
