RC valve

Tue Mar 16, 2004 5:29 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I just got back my cylinders back from replating so I very excited to get working on the engine. Everything looks great. As I try to install the RC valves I noticed that the valve that is furthest away from the seal would get stuck only when the shaft is linned up. Could something have happend during the replating that would cause this, cause I know it was working fine
(not getting stuck) before I sent the cylinder out.

It looks like to me that there is some excess material behind the cylinder wall where the exhaust valve rubs against.

Yeah that's possible. Ring the company up that did the work and ask what they suggest you do. I had a poor replate done and they (Langcourts) were great: apologies, postage refund when I returned it to them etc etc.
