Photo taken in Honda's museum at Motegi while in Japan last year. I KNOW they dropped some parts of this bike pretty quickly, like the air ducts and single sided swing arm (though that wasn't so quick). And even though i KNOW this wasn't a championship winning bike, it is still my favourite RS in history.

Gorgeous.

Yeah, I love this one too. I can't remember how many of the guys I've tried to persuade to do their RS's like this! Watfordhorn is the latest! Laughing

It was actually the chosen colour scheme for my MC21, and was in primer ready to paint when MCN revealed Doohan's Repsol for the first time. I called the importer as soon as they opened that morning, and before I could even tell the guy what I was thinking, he said "you've got the new Motorcycle News, haven't you?"! LOL

Never regretted the change to Repsol, as the MC21 bodywork just isn't the right shape of course, but I'd still love an NX5 like this.

If I could just find one of these tanks and make it fit the NSR... I'd give the paint job a go...

i tell you what, you folk on here are sticklers for detail!!

Nice bike leigh and although i like the HB colours i think the AXO bike looks really modern and an RS would look pretty sharp in those colours
