I am looking for a testtank for working on the carburators but I've only found one that costs 65 USD.
I'm talking about a 1 liter bottle with a quickconnect to install while testing. _________________ Poul

I have always wanted to make a little test tank using one of those Aluminium Heineken Beer Mini-Kegs that you see in the supermarkets.
But you need to somehow add a fuel tap and filler cap. Could be a little bit tricky. But good "street cred".
I did. it worked a while, now its leaking and the lid is very difficult to open/close. I guess it was the wrong plastic type. _________________ Poul

I made one by using a plastic fuel can. Get a bolt which will fit into the fuel line, and drill a hole right down the middle of it, as big as is sensible without ruining the strength.
Now drill a hole in the bottom of the fuel can slightly smaller than the bolt so you have to screw the bolt in.
Make the hole in line with the filler hole so you can get a socket onto the bolt head. Screw the bolt through from the inside, and fit a locking nut on the outside. If you got the hole sized right it'll seal perfectly against the bolt. If not, you'll have to use chemical metal to seal it.
You can now fit a length of hose to the can with an in-line connector to fit your bike fuel pipe - the kind that seal when you disconnect them (that you probably have anyway as fettling a two stroke requires lots of tank removal!)
Now you have a can you can easily fill, has a handle for hanging it up, and will fit onto the fuel line of the bike.
If you wanted to, you could put the bolt through the sidewall below the filler such that the can will still sit flat on the floor when not in use...
Seriously, just but a Honda GX--- [generator] fuel tank and mount it on a little alloy bracket! They're all of about £20! _________________ Andy.

get a 2-stroke oil bottle (with the retractable long plastic filler tube) cut the botton off, turn it upside down and the thin plastic nozzle will just nicely squeeze into the fuel line to create a seal ...... job done.
I went to our local large hardware chain and got some suitably sized hose and a small inline tap for air powered tools. I can connect this to the standard tank sitting on the workbench and run the line to the carbs. The inline tap is pretty handy when you have to disconnect it all. While I was there they also had clear tubing in various sizes which is great for the float bowl drains and bleeding brakes etc.
OK, I'm starting to really 'dig' this thread but seriously know;
Is anything mentioned here going to pull the chicks like an empty mini beer keg?
I'm coming at this from a socially empowering point of view:
Functionality and a certain 'cool' vibe.
I'm talking an iTank with USB connector for YouTube,.... yeah?
I got tired of my homemade tank, so I bought a Sealey tank off Amazon but am very disappointed.
There is no gasket in the lid
When tightening the lid(not very tight) it just jumps off.
The holes for the steel hanger, are drilled right through to the tank, so the gasoline can leak or evaporate through there.
I'm negociating with the dealer right now.
